With the lavish splendor of the 18th century Court of Versailles, NOBA returns to the newly renovated Mahalia Jackson Theater of the Performing Arts with the full-evening classical ballet event, Marie. Inspired by the life of the beautiful and notorious Queen of France, Marie Antoinette, Houston Ballet brings its brand new production by acclaimed artistic director Stanton Welch. The ballet features 150 elaborate costumes by London-based designer, Kandis Cook, and the music of Shostakovich performed by the Louisiana Philharmonic Orchestra.
