Nickel-A-Dance – New Time – New Place
Same Great Music
Sunday Afternoons in March
NEW: Snug Harbor
626 Frenchmen
3:30-6:30 p.m.
The Nickel-A-Dance concerts, a New Orleans family-friendly jazz-dance tradition since 1994, will return for a month-long series of concerts in March, 2009.
Tell your friends and tell your children: The new venue will be Snug Harbor, 626 Frenchmen. AND IT’S STILL FREE! ---Children always invited---
Snug Harbor features a moveable wall that will be removed to expand the dancing area, and Snug has a great balcony to watch the show!
Mark your calendars:
Sun., March 29: Lionel Ferbos & the Palm Court Jazz Band (3:30-6:30 p.m.)
The Nickel-A-Dance Soirees began with one concert fourteen years ago. As they have done in the past, a group of anonymous music fans continue to join together with the Jazz Centennial Celebration and a growing list of sponsors to celebrate jazz. The Nickel-A-Dance Soirées have helped revive the neighborhood dance traditions that used to be widespread across the city. For more info, call 947-6155.
